Key logistics activities

Responsible for logistics transportation strategy and processes.

Management of product movement for different Agilent Singapore Sites (Factory and Singapore RLC) on both international freight and domestic deliveries.

Responsible for program management and work directly with internal Stake Holder and Third Party Service Providers to meet performance and business objectives.

Operational Responsibilities

Designs and implements logistics transportation strategies / processes to support mainly international freight for inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsible for transport / delivery escalations and resolve the escalation timely for successful delivery at intended destination.

Provide updates on shipment status and responding to internal stakeholders requests.

Engaged Internal stakeholders and Global Logistics Leaders on carrier selection/negotiation.

Review payment to Service Providers are correct and on time.

Continuous Improvement

Utilize analytical practices to identify and solve problems which requires breadth / depth of Supply Chain transportation network knowledge.

Identify and implement best practices, and work with Distributions Operations teams to optimize business & processes. Assessing solutions including automation use in the industry to bring about improvement to the Business flow.

Identifying potential cost savings opportunities and to carry out monthly reviews to manage transportation cost.

Leads Worldwide, regional or country specific projects as well as participates, cooperates and contributes as part of a project team.

Performance Management (including 3rd Party Service Provider)

Provide timely and accurate shipment updates into relevant systems and ensure data is always accurate and up to date

Responsible for Key performance indicators management of Transportation Services.

Provide reporting to management on Performance indicators

Review and investigate into shipment delivery failures and work on resolutions to prevent occurrences.

Compliance

Established and ensure all SOPs and policies are adhered to

Review impact of logistics operations processes and policy, such as routing, deliveries modes, product volumes, and report results to others

Ensure data integrity of information entered

Required to lead the transportation function for Company and Regulatory audits

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.

Typically 8+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.

Prior experience in SAP system is a must.

Prior experience in Six Sigma, Lean, 5S and continuous improvement programs is preferred.

Knowledge and experience in shipping of Reagents, biological, Dangerous Goods products is preferred

Knowledge and experience in logistics / Supply Chain distribution network consulting, digitalization solution design and implementation.

Experience in managing Logistics Service Providers
