To safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and goods to and from designated locations. The Lorry Driver ensures timely deliveries, proper loading and unloading, and vehicle maintenance while upholding safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transportation & Delivery
Drive company lorry to deliver and collect goods, materials, or deliverevent/exhibition items to and from clients, warehouses, or venues.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery according to schedules or instructions from supervisors.
Load and unload items carefully to prevent damage.
2. Vehicle Care & Maintenance
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (e.g. brakes, tires, lights, fluids).
Keep the lorry clean, roadworthy, and in good working condition.
Report any mechanical issues or damages immediately to the supervisor or maintenance team.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain delivery records, logbooks, or delivery orders (DOs) accurately.
Ensure proper documentation is signed upon collection/delivery.
Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
Ensure vehicle weight limits and load security requirements are met.
4. Event/Exhibition Support
Assist logistics or production teams with on-site setup and dismantling of event/exhibition structures.
Coordinate with the operations team to ensure correct delivery sequence and placement of items.
Help with packing, unpacking, and loading of carpentry, display materials, and event equipment.
5. Safety & Teamwork
Follow all workplace safety and health (WSH) guidelines when handling materials and driving.
Use proper lifting and securing methods for heavy or bulky items.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
