Core Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation:

Safely driving large commercial vehicles, such as trucks, tankers, and articulated lorries, over varying distances.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking vital components like tires, oil, and brakes, and reporting any mechanical issues.

Loading and Securing Cargo:

Overseeing and assisting with the safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.

Route Planning:

Planning and adapting delivery routes to meet schedules, while also monitoring traffic reports to avoid delays.

Documentation:

Completing and maintaining accurate delivery records, logbooks, and trip reports. *

Compliance:

Adhering to all road haulage regulations, company policies, and procedures, including rules on driving hours, vehicle weight, and safety standards.
