What the role is:Manager, Corporate FinanceWhat you will be working on:You will be part of the Corporate Finance (CF) Division in LTA Finance Group which ensures provision of sound credit evaluation and other relevant financial analyses to LTA\'s users and management for decision making, optimisation of returns on LTA\'s cash balances and surplus funds, effective management of foreign exchange risks and issuance of bonds to meet LTA\'s financing objectives.Your main role will be to lead one of the Treasury teams on the essential operations that drive our key functions encompassing aspects such as cash management, foreign exchange hedging and investment operations.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:a) Lead the team in delivering the implementation and periodic review of the investment approach for LTA\'s reserves to optimise risk-adjusted returns.
b) Establish effective governance and processes in the management of LTA\'s liquidity needs.
c) Oversee LTA\'s exposures to foreign exchange risks to limit the variability of the Singapore Dollar equivalent cost of foreign currencies denominated contractual payments.
d) Contribute to the development and implementation of effective governance through instituting effective financial policies and internal controls.
e) Work closely with the relevant stakeholders on continuous improvement projects, which may include whole-of-government systems or workstreams initiated by MOF/AGD.
f) Guide the team in financial reporting activities and audit matters related to CF-Treasury.
g) Plan for and nurture staff development and instil team pride in the delivery of outcomes.What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accountancy (or member of a recognized body of professional accountants with relevant professional accounting qualification), Business, Finance, Economics or other relevant discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience (preferably with 2 years in supervisory role).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, independent and resourceful.
  • Meticulous and proficient in minimally Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Keen and/or experience in adopting tools to automate, digitise or improve processes.
  • Possess good knowledge of public sector finance policies and procedures, Statutory Board - Financial Reporting Standards and hands-on experience in SAP financial system will be advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact across different stakeholder groups and seniority levels.
