What the role is:
SENIOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER, DEVELOPMENT & BUILDING CONTROL (CIVIL)
What you will be working on:
You will be part of a team responsible for regulating development and building works in the railway protection zone as well as railway corridor and road structure safety zone to safeguard the rapid transit systems, road structure safety zone and public streets. You will be involved in reviewing the design of both temporary and permanent works affecting the rapid transit systems, road structures and public street, engineering risk assessment and engineering analysis, method of construction and instrumentation proposal; as well as review of geotechnical and structure instrumentation data. In addition, you would also be involved with projects where stations are integrated with adjoining and adjacent developments.
Besides the opportunity to work with developers, their architectural and engineering consultants and contractors, you will also co-ordinate and liaise with LTA architects, planners and engineers on projects affecting rail and road systems.

[What you will be working on]

You will conduct engineering risk assessments and analyses, evaluate construction methodologies and instrumentation proposals, and review geotechnical and structural instrumentation data. Additionally, you will work on projects where stations are integrated with adjoining and adjacent developments.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with developers, their architectural and engineering consultants, and contractors. You will also coordinate and liaise with LTA architects, planners, and engineers on projects affecting rail and road systems.
