What the role is:
[What you will be working on]
You will work closely with the Rail Operators to develop good ground knowledge of the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) issues to ensure that the Rail Operators' O&M experience can be fed back to LTA's design Divisions to facilitate the continual improvement of the design of Singapore's Rail Transit System's (RTS) lines for flexibility of operations and maintainability.
Your scope of works will include review of the design of medium voltage power systems, railway traction power systems (3rd rail and overhead catenary systems), low voltage reticulation schemes and investigations of incidents. You will also provide engineering support in witnessing the testing, commissioning and handing over of new
assets to the Rail Operators.
[What we are looking for]
- Knowledge in Electrical Power Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of services and electrical installations up to and including 22kV; 1500V DC and 750V DC
- traction power supply systems and 400/230V reticulation systems
- Knowledge of railway work environment and relevant safety requirements
- Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
