[LTA-TRO] SENIOR/ MANAGER (DATA ENGINEERING), ROAD DATA MANAGEMENT
What you will be working on:

At the Land Transport Authority (LTA), we're shaping the future of Singapore's transport landscape. As a Data Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise to transform how data is harnessed to improve the reliability, performance, and sustainability of Singapore's road network. Your work will directly support our mission to make land transport safer, smarter, and more efficient for all.
You'll work at the intersection of data, technology, and urban mobility, transforming real-world transport data into actionable intelligence. From building robust data pipelines to integrating systems and facilitating data flow, your work will directly influence how millions of people move across Singapore every day.
You'll collaborate with other data engineers, analysts, and traffic operations experts to design and scale cutting-edge data systems - laying the foundation for smarter roads, faster responses, and greener transport networks.

• Design, build, and enhance data platforms and pipelines that power traffic and road operations.
• Work with data engineers, analysts, and traffic operations experts to integrate systems and improve the use of real-time and historical data.
• Develop and refine data models and governance frameworks that support decision-making across LTA and other government agencies.
• Contribute to the design of user-centric applications that deliver insights and improve operational outcomes.
• Play a strategic role in shaping the future of data architecture and analytics for Singapore's transport systems.

What we are looking for:
We are seeking driven, curious, and mission-oriented data professionals who want to apply their skills to meaningful, nation-scale challenges. Looking for someone with skills in data engineering and would like to work on data governance and data management. Prior work in the transport domain is not required. You should have:
Knowledge in Computer Science or any other degree, but those with data engineering modules or specialisation may be considered favourably.
Some work experience in data engineering, analytics or systems integration.
Experience with big data tools, databases, and data processing frameworks.
Experience in leading a small team is highly preferred.
The ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and cross-agency teams.
As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
