The Role Responsibilities

• We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on ESG-related projects such as entity resolution and ESG data processing/extraction. This role involves applying machine learning techniques to complex datasets to extract insights that drive ESG strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning tools and a keen sense for data, along with an understanding of business logic to deliver actionable insights for business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• ESG Data Management:

• Develop and refine machine learning algorithms for entity resolution in ESG datasets.
• Implement effective data extraction techniques to gather ESG-relevant information.
• Machine Learning Model Development:

• Utilize machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) to build and deploy models.
• Conduct model tuning and optimization to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Data Analysis and Insight Generation:

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights relevant to ESG initiatives.
• Translate data analytics into understandable and useful information for business decision-making.
• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with business units to understand their needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders

Strategy

• Awareness and understanding of the Group\'s ESG strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Business

• Awareness and understanding of how the ESG models operating in the Group

Processes

• Responsible for developing some ESG-related Machine Learning models

Risk Management

• The ability to interpret the Machine Learning models, identify key issues and put in place appropriate model controls and measures.

Governance

• identify key Responsible AI related to the models developed

Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct .
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning
• S trong programming skills in particularly - Python is required
• Data science experience ideally in ESG domain
• Bachelor\'s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Computing engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Business Communication
• Fresh graduates (or above) with excellent skills in data analytics, programming, Machine learning framework and cloud are also welcome to apply
