About the team

We are the Ads Core team, the algorithm and technology platform team supporting the advertising business of ByteDance. We are committed to developing world-leading online advertising optimization algorithms, creating a healthy and mutually beneficial advertising ecosystem, continuously enhancing user and customer experiences, and leading and driving changes and innovations in industry algorithms. We are responsible for improving and researching the basic algorithm strategies and mechanisms for the advertising monetization business of ByteDance's products, covering the technical support for commercialization in scenarios such as Douyin, Toutiao, and Tomato Novels.



Responsibilities

Full-link optimization of recommendation systems: Participate in the algorithm design for the entire link including recall, rough ranking, fine ranking, and mixed ranking, and optimize recommendation effects according to commercial needs; build an offline evaluation system to ensure that offline indicators are aligned with online business goals; Exploration of frontier technology implementation: Promote the implementation of generative recommendation in commercial scenarios, and explore innovative recommendation paradigms in combination with large models; analyze model evaluation data, complete algorithm engineering implementation, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance the value of the entire recommendation link.

Qualifications



Minimum Qualification(s)

5+ years of industry work experience in one or more of the related fields: NLP, Ranking, Ads, Search Engine, Recommendation systems, and Machine Learning. Solid technical skills: Excellent coding skills. Solid knowledge of data structure and algorithms. Excellent in analysis, modeling and problem-solving, and can see the essence of problems from complex data. Team management experience.

Preferred Qualification(s)

Self-driven, able to deeply understand the business, adapt to rapid business changes, have good personal expression and communication skills, and be able to promote project implementation.
