Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all operations conform to safety requirements and maintain high safety standards
- Performs machining jobs
- Performs calibration of machining work pieces
- Able to read technical drawings
- Comply with all statutory requirements as well as in-house Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) programmes
- Report all sub-standard conditions, equipments, practices and incompatible work processes
- Report all injuries, however minor and near misses to their supervisors
- Use all the required Personal Protective Equipment provided to them
- Participate in all planned HSEQ programmes
- Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time
- NTC-3 or 2 certificate in metal machining or minimum three years in any metal machining companies
- At least three years\' in a similar capacity in a marine industry
- Basic knowledge and skill of all types of machining methods
- Knowledge of various operations of turning machines
- Basic knowledge of the shipyard\'s safety rules and regulations
- Basic knowledge of different types of material
- Basic command of English is a prerequisite
