Job Description

Responsibilities:

1.Vehicle Care

1.1 To perform daily checks on vehicle assigned prior to departing SPC for collection duties or any other duties assigned

by MC\'s IPs / POs / AOM. To report any fault / problem discovered during the checks before driving out of SPC.

To check and ensure that vehicle assigned is roadworthy.

1.2 To check and ensure that there is sufficient fuel, battery water, brakes fluid within vehicle assigned before taking

and handing over of vehicle on each working day.

1.3 To check and maintain cleanliness of vehicle assigned.

1.4 To ensure vehicle assigned is parked within designated parking lot within SPC.

1.5 To lodge relevant police / insurance / workshop reports as and when vehicle assigned is involved in an accident. To

notify MC\'s PO on duty / AOM of such incident within 24 hours of accident or next working day.

2. Collection & Dispatch

2.1 To perform collection / dispatch / transportation duties as deployed by IPs / POs / AOM and to carry out the duties

diligently as per instructions given.

2.2 To ensure correct labelling of mailbags / any other bags that requires to be labelled.

2.3 To ensure on time / proper lodgement of collected mailbags from street posting boxes, post offices, regional bases

and other assigned collection centres to the relevant departments.

2.4 To feedback any observation / incident made while performing official duties and to indicate such observation /

incident on collection route sheet or verbally to MC\'s PO on duty / AOM.

3. Rotation & Coverage of Duties

3.1 To perform and learn different duties based on rotational patterns / roster as planned by IPs / POs / AOM.

3.2 Postman Special Grade to cover duties of IPs as and when required.

Requirements:

• Has valid Class 4 driving license
• Rotating shifts (no permanent shifts) and able to work on weekends
• Must have own transportation to travel to/fro work during wee hours
