WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides technical expertise for all equipment-related activities in the manufacturing process and supports IPT Maintenance Technicians. The incumbent:
Supports Senior Manager and maintenance to meet Profit Plan targets, optimize IPT cost-effectiveness, and lower product standard cost in accordance with cGMP and Safety guidelines, with particular emphasis on equipment maintenance costs.
Executes maintenance, improvement, E &I and M&I maintenance activities within the IPT, ensures preventative maintenance is completed according to schedule requirements, and supports equipment change control implementations.
Implements technical solutions to improve equipment uptime and asset utilization through the use of a Continuous Improvement mindset (Lean methodologies) and coaching of a team within sphere of influence - be that Maintenance, Operations or GTO staff.
Utilise technical skills to lead deviation/atypical investigations, and safety incidents and ensure effective root cause analysis is conducted.
Coach and Develop team regarding both Technical+ Lean Skills.
MAIN RESPONSBILITIES
Corrective Maintenance
Ensures resolution and timely follow-up of identified facility related equipment issues, unplanned events, and new opportunities identified by Senior Manager, Maintenance during daily walkthrough.
Ensures equipment breakdowns are resolved in a timely manner and updates the Preventive Maintenance Plan.
Provides technical expertise and support the IPT Maintenance Technicians for equipment breakdown, troubleshooting and recovery to ensure the timely and effective resolution of issues.
Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability.
Works with Engineering & SHE CoE to execute a reliability-centered maintenance plan and to share best practices and lessons learned, with the objective of improving asset utilization.
Ensures all planned internal and external Preventive Maintenance activities are executed and completed.
Ensures equipment downtime does not exceed capacity planning assumptions.
Updates equipment critical spare part list and sets minimum re-order levels as directed by Senior Manager, Maintenance.
Compliance - Safety & Quality
All activities undertaken by self and team are conducted as per Site Safety and quality systems. E.g. GCMs, LOTO, calibration & permit entries etc.
Proactively challenge current activities to reduce both safety risk to employees as well as quality risks to both product and facilities.
Lead Safety or Quality investigations - exhibit ability to lead a cross-functional team in driving towards root cause and establishing CAPAs that address "true root cause" and prevent re-occurrence. Agreed actions are closed on-time.
Continuous Improvements (Cl)
Utilizes Lean methodologies such as 5S, Standard Work, real-time problem solving {RTPS), to support execution of continuous improvement activities to drive improved equipment robustness, reduced equipment downtime, elimination of both safety and quality risks in operation/ cleaning and maintenance activities.
Supports development of a continuous improvement framework within the Maintenance group and works with the Senior Manager, Maintenance to identify opportunities
Supports the Reliability & Maintenance COE in executing reliability based programs and completing follow on corrective actions.
Financial Stewardship
Undertakes activities to support realization of production, IPT cost effectiveness, and product cost reduction targets set for the IPT in the Profit Plan, with particular emphasis on equipment reliability and maintenance expenses.
Monitors IPT maintenance program to ensure cost effectiveness including: spare parts levels, frequency of scheduled PM and equipment breakdowns.
People Management
Works with Senior Manager, Maintenance to implement personal objectives for team that are realistic, achievable, and drive improved technical competence and a "Lean mindset" (in alignment with MPS).
Provides timely continuous feedback to direct reports, and IPT maintenance members. Appropriate rewards to Team members based on performance and demonstration of the our leadership standards.
Ensures all direct reports have a development plan which supports achievement of objectives and future professional growth.
Delegates decision making to most appropriate level.
Ensures that "Learning Plan" for team members is aligned to the task they perform and competence meets requirements for tasks undertaken; this includes safety, quality & operations related activities.
Maintains positive working relationships among employees and fosters an environment where employee engagement, empowerment, teamwork and accountability are the cultural norm.

Demonstrates leadership behaviors in alignment with our leadership standards.
Develops and updates annual Personal Performance Grid (PPG) and Employee Development Plan (EDP) with Manager and aligned with Performance Management Process.
Ensures both operational knowledge and technical skills are maintained and compliant against individual training requirements.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
Qualification:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering) or equivalent
Experience:
Six plus years engineering experience in pharmaceutical (preferred) or chemical or semiconductor industry;
