Job Description

A Maintenance Officer for a Commercial Building is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and functioning of a commercial building. They perform maintenance tasks, monitor equipment, and address repair needs to keep the building in optimal condition.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, co-ordinate and supervise the operation, maintenance, repair and implement improvement works to all M&E and Building service and refrigeration systems, including renovation and maintenance works.
• Prepare and ensure schedules such as Maintenance Schedule, Repair Work Schedule and M&E Equipment Operation Schedule, and deadlines for events and installations works are met accordingly.
• Carry out daily inspections and tests of mechanical and electrical equipment / BAS ACMV System
• Ensure M&E works are well coordinated with Contractors to meet any Authorities Requirements
• Compile and vet M&E drawings for renovations to ensure it complies to all M&E regulations.
• Study labour requirement, estimate cost of installations, operations, maintenance and repair.
• Lead the shift team to attend to complaints related to either electrical, mechanical or air-con
• Knowledge of parts and hands on servicing of Electrical Equipment
• Conduct risk assessments in accordance to regulatory and organizational Workplace Safety and Health(WSH) policies and practices
• Perform and ensure all preventive maintenance works - as required - are carried out according to the maintenance programs and procedures
• Prepare technical reports and / or monthly reports

Requirement:

• Possess at least NITEC certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant facilities management in commercial developments with supervisory responsibility
• Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Ability to handle Electrical repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Possess Senior / Fire Safety Manager Certificate
• Conversant with Singapore's codes of practice and regulations
• Good team player, keen desire to learn, contribute and progress with the company
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
