What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience in industries like - petrochemical, automotive, lift technician* ITE or Diploma in Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in maintenance and inspection work
Familiar with
terminal equipment,
assets, fire-fighting systems, and emergency procedures
Good understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations and compliance
Strong technical knowledge and practical skills
Team-oriented, with mentoring experience considered an advantage
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repair works, and project executions effectively and efficiently
Ensure all work is carried out in line with maintenance procedures, OEM manuals, statutory requirements, and safety standards
Report issues or abnormalities in site facilities promptly
Handle Permit-to-Work, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), and Defeat of Safety Critical Equipment (DOSCE) processes during maintenance activities
Participate in documentation reviews, including Safe Work Procedures (SWP), JSA, and What-If Analysis
Update supervisors on work progress and report on a daily or ad-hoc basis
Manage assigned Work Orders and checklists in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Support supervisors in coordinating contractor/vendor works and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
Mentor and guide junior technicians in maintenance activities and skill development
Assist with supervision and execution of Capex projects
Conduct equipment/system testing, commissioning, inspections, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for handover to Operations
Be on standby duty for emergency maintenance outside of regular working hours
Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance cost, efficiency, and safety standards
Support and conduct equipment training for operations staff and new hires
Maintain proper housekeeping practices and manage spare parts inventory, including supplier delivery checks and store upkeep
(For Senior Technician role only): Lead and mentor junior team members in technical competency and job execution
