The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery and related equipment to ensure smooth operations in a plastic manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports production by ensuring all machines are in safe and optimal working condition.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform regular preventive maintenance of production machines.
Dismantle, assemble, and replace machine parts as required.
Repair, modify, and service mechanical components.
Fabricate metal structures, supports, and fixtures for production use.
Install and set up new production machines.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work.
Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in machine maintenance or fitting preferred.
Forklift driving experience is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of welding, cutting, and fabrication tools.
Able to read basic mechanical drawings and perform hands-on repairs.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a production environment.
Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
Willing to work overtime and support urgent maintenance tasks.
