Job Description

The main purpose of the role will be to ensure that production equipment is operating reliably and Overall Equipment Efficiency measures are achievable. This includes activities such as troubleshooting and repairing equipment faults, analysis and rectification of Downtime, Quality & EHS related issues. The role would also be responsible to support in maintaining parts inventory and carry out Preventive Maintenance for assigned area. The position is shift based (morning and evening shift ) and may be required to cover weekends as per production schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Covering the shift as duty maintenance technician to ensure support to production and attend any break down, equipment faults & support requests from production.
• Carry out all the Preventive Maintenance Work Orders in time in assigned area of responsibility.
• Continuously improve the preventative maintenance plans based on break down analysis, audit observations and engineer feedback.
• Follow-up on temporary repairs to ensure they are fully closed.
• Perform spares analysis (as assigned) to ensure critical plant spares availability.
• Troubleshooting and repairing machinery/equipment faults in the production areas. Familiar with rotary filling machinery, liquid processing equipment and powder filling machine.
• ATEX / Hazardous Area basic knowledge.
• Support automation engineer in calibrations and control trouble shooting as required.
• Basic knowledge for Utility equipment functionality and able to work together with vendor with any maintenance activity or troubleshooting.
• Completing plant / process development projects within the production areas as required (e.g. line or equipment optimization).
• Ensure compliance with company and legislative Health and Safety, quality, food safety & GMP procedures.
• Monitoring the performance of plant equipment and recommending appropriate modifications. Capable to provide innovative ideas for improvement project.
• Maintenance of a safe operating environment and carry out all maintenance activities in compliance with Site Policies and procedures. Understand of EHS requirements like Machine Guarding, LOTO, Permit to Work, Work at height, Hot work, Ex Ratings , hazardous area classification etc.
• Knowledge and experience of trouble shooting electrical and control equipment like motors, VFDs, PLCs , electrical panels, relays, contactors, Level, temperature, pressure, weight, flow, proximity sensors and switches would be preferred.
• Basic Mechanical technical / equipment knowledge ( e.g Bearings, food grade Oil & Greasing, conveyors, Maintenance of valves , pumps , Gaskets etc.)
• Able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, P&IDs and basic mechanical / parts drawings and equipment manuals.
• Understanding of maintenance terms and techniques like preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance (thermography, vibration monitoring etc), Corrective maintenance.

PRE-REQUISITES

• Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronic Diploma is essential - (NITEC or equivalent)
• 5+ year\'s previous relevant experience gained in a similar manufacturing environment. Experience in Food / pharma industry would be preferred.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System \xe2\x80\x93 SAP Experience would be preferred.
• Applicants must have good communication skills combined with a flexible, team orientated and \'can do\' attitude .
• Prior knowledge/experience in GMP and lean manufacturing principles including 5s & RCA would be preferable.
• Track record includes experience in troubleshooting, problem solving and focus on equipment improvement.
• Able to working/coordinating to peer and fellow colleague with maintaining good relationship among the team. With good team work spirit.
