The Role Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for defining and delivering the marketing strategy primarily for the corporates segment within Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking, a business that is driven at global and regional level. The Marketing Manager will also support the marketing needs of the client coverage team as needed.
  • The successful candidate will drive the development of the marketing strategy and execute an end-to-end marketing plan consisting of digital marketing strategies, content management and events. The individual will support the Global Industries Group and Global Subsidiaries Group using client insights and marketing data analytics, in order to increase visibility, awareness and commercial impact for CCIB.
  • The global strategy, borne from a good understanding of the client needs and opportunity, business and market dynamics, should help inform the way in which we market to clients in a consistent way.
  • The candidate will be curious, able to handle pressure and have a high sense of self-motivation.
Strategy
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
  • A excellent understanding of B2B marketing, digital marketing and go-to market strategies.
  • A basic grasp of event management and strategy.
  • We are looking for a senior marketer with a deep understanding of b2b marketing and the way in which MNC\xe2\x80\x99s and global Institutions operate, their influencers, their decision makers and personas, their banking requirements and needs. You will have a proven ability to drill into client segmentation, client mapping, and client behaviours and translate these insights into meaningful and impactful marketing strategies and programs, driven by effective client targeting, measured through agreed client outcomes and success metrics.
Business
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.
  • A basic understanding of sustainable finance and principles of net zero and ESG.
  • Candidate will own and drive end-to-end segment activity plans led by business segmentation and prioritisation and in close collaboration with Client Coverage, Sustainable Finance, Product Marketing, Marketing Services as well as the regional Marketing teams. You will drive business impact by understanding account plans, and commercial opportunities and effectively position the Bank, our services and capabilities to the clients we serve, and the clients we aspire to bank, optimising marketing plans to support the business in achieving their goals and aspirations.

  • Develop measurement frameworks, metrics and KPIs that ensure marketing strategies are effective and impactful and that we\xe2\x80\x99re garnering increased insight around the ways that clients interact with us and the business and relationship impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement in marketing programs as market conditions evolve. Led by creative, innovative ideas and a desire to think outside the box.
  • Candidate will follow all Corporate Affairs Brand & Marketing processes and governance.
Risk Management
  • A good understanding of legal and compliance requirements around content management, Vendor Management, Sponsorships and Speaker appointments.

  • A good practice and process around content management, Vendor Management, Sponsorships and Speaker appointments.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Transformational mindset with sound decision making and the ability to work in a high paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Passion for working as part of a global team, whilst building strong networks with regional colleagues.
