Coordinates the University\'s efforts to analyze, develop, implement and maintain the campus space planning for NUS campuses.
Develops and implements institutional processes, guidelines, and standards to ensure campus planning efforts align with the University\'s established missions, objectives and strategic plans, as well as regulatory requirements.
Manages campus planning and space program of projects, working with internal stakeholders and project managers, carrying out feasibility study and test fits.
Reviews campus demand and supply and its growth. Conduct studies, analyzes data, and makes recommendations on a wide variety of campus planning and space optimisation approaches.
Researches trends and determines strategic campus physical growth needs, and provides facilitation and support in the establishment of a responsive, comprehensive plan for campus facilities and real estate development.
Assist and provide support in maintaining the efficiency of the space management online system and to explore any possible integration of the space management system with other University-level platforms. This includes ensuring the accuracy of the space database and timely publishing of space information.
Conduct Space Review and Audits, reviewing space use occupancy process through use of technology and managing users expectations.
Reviews the long-range planning and strategic problem solving to address campus facility, land-use, and development issues; participates in the annual update of the University\'s five-year capital budget plan to ensure consistency with and/or revision of the Campus Development Plan.
Establishes and implements effective unit operating policies, systems, and procedures that are consistent with overall organizational goals, objectives, policies and operating standards.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Interior Design planning or other related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years experience in Architecture / Interior Design / Real Estate, land use planning and relevant experience in the Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) with strong analytical capabilities will be of advantage.
Demonstrated knowledge in the arenas of planning and design, environmental sustainability, site design and/or architecture, space planning.
Good communication skills to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and able to apply critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues.
A responsible team player, self-motivated and abilities to coordinate multiple priorities/actions holistically to achieve desired results.
Strong computer skills, to include Microsoft word/excels and power point for presentation and knowledge of software such as AutoCAD/REVIT/GIS including BIM will be preferred.
