Role Responsibilities

Business Finance

  • Collaborate with Group / Regional / Country Finance colleagues in providing quality management information to senior management for the formulation and review of CCIB/ FM business plans and strategies.
  • Analyse CCIB/ FM country performance (management and financial), review highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.
  • Review daily FM income movement to ensure accuracy in the financials and work with PC to provide commentaries to management on material movements; Work with FM controls to ensure month end numbers are accurately reported and any AvF breaks are resolved.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation between the Financial and Management views for FM income (Client income and Trading income).
  • To be the finance business partner to the FM business, providing support on all finance related matters.
  • Support SG ALCO for capital and liquidity inputs and active balance sheet management for strategic planning, as well as RWA forecast.
  • Co-ordinate the process for preparing, validating, consolidating and analysing monthly flash, half yearly forecasts and annual budget to support strategic aspirations of SCB Singapore.
  • Ensure regular and ad-hoc management reporting requirements from stakeholders (e.g., Group Finance, MBR, CMT, CRAFT/MAS, ICAAP/IWST) are met.
  • Work closely with GFS team on the monthly reporting process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports, and that GFS service levels are maintained in line with onshore requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Group/ IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control Policy and other regulatory accounting guidelines; Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial returns to internal and external authorities and stakeholders.
Project Management
  • Contribute in any finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as changes and simplification of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s processes. This would include (but not limited to):
  • Enhanced F reporting \xe2\x80\x93 transition from Management view to Financial view and ensure business readiness; work with project team to identify system enhancements requirements to support the business in the new view and implement changes to reporting requirements.
  • New Profit Share Transfer Pricing methodology \xe2\x80\x93 understand and assess the impact of change in income/ profit sharing arrangement.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+Years of relevant experience in financial services industry.
  • Experienced in FM products and accounting treatments.
  • Preferably with FP&A experience, with business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies and project management techniques.
  • A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner, as well as analysis of large dataset.
  • Contract role - 12months is the duration.
