Manager, Clinical Research Officer for the Health Screening Centre
Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for a Manager, Clinical Research Officer who is self-motivated, proactive in problem solving and a strong team player. The candidate will enjoy staff benefits and be part of the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study team, a flagship Singapore population health study jointly conducted by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London. We aim to profile the health and behavior of up to 100,000 people from the general Singapore population over the next few years. We are conducting (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, hand grip strength, treadmill walking test, spirometry, ECG, retinal imaging, arterial stiffness and skin physiology assessments and (3) biomarkers for chronic diseases.
The candidate will play a key role mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:
Conduct comprehensive audiological tests on study participants to identify and assess hearing and balance disorders.
Ensure that tests are conducted accurately according to study protocol.
Able to handle, escalate and report incidental findings to study PIs.
Able to troubleshoot / call engineer promptly if equipment fails to function properly.
Keep SOPs and Risk Assessments updated.
Participate effectively as a dynamic team player.
Assist in administrative matters and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for the HELIOS-SG100K study.
Able to organise and summarise collected data, as well as perform inferential statistics to formally test hypotheses and interpret findings about the population
Candidates should have:
1. Bachelor with Honours, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or PhD in Audiology.
2. Candidates with relevant work experience of at least 2 years is preferred.
3. Passion to make the difference in the society through research and/or serving the community.
4. A sense of responsibility, detailed and meticulous, pro-active and a self-starter.
5. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
6. Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluent in Malay, Tamil, Chinese or dialects would be of advantage.
7. The ability to work independently with high levels of motivation.
8. Certification on Good Clinical Practice, CPR & AED would be of advantage.
