Commercial Services (CS), part of the Commercial Group, helps support the growth of the business and to ensure Commercial has an efficient and industry-leading approach to C2C to enable Rio Tinto\xe2\x80\x99s Commercial strategy. CS has primary accountability to in delivering all activities from post deal confirmation such as order administration, post fixtures activities, invoicing, trade finance activities, supply chain documentation and laytime management.
About the role
We are looking for a Manager, Commercial Services (Pacific) to lead the Commercial Services Pacific team and drive efficiency and delivery of critical KPI\xe2\x80\x99s embedded in the contract to cash process
This role gives a unique opportunity to accompany the transformation of our model towards synergetic process management to enhance customers and employees\xe2\x80\x99 experiences, to deliver greater value to the business and to develop talent/career.
You will provide innovative solutions to streamline the business processes and adopt technological platforms to enhance performance. The purpose is to ensure the Commercial Cervices Pacific team move towards the vision of transforming the way we work and generate value beyond the transactional scope. The Commercial Services Atlantic manager will also manage the relationship with the Business stakeholders, ensuring alignment of business expectations with the Commercial Services objectives.

Reporting to the GM - Commercial Services, you will be:
Providing leadership, mentoring & oversight of Commercial Services team to continue to develop team function and performance.
Participate and contribute to the Buy/Sell/Move strategy, providing the Commercial Services perspective and making sure it is aligned with Commercial Operations Vision.
Work in collaboration with various business unit teams to execute their commercial strategies, supporting enhanced customer satisfaction and value generation.
Leads and manage the Commercial services team who are responsible for, contracts life cycle management, invoicing, trade finance and shipping documentation management.
Proactively identify, drive and promote business process simplification, digital and automation improvements to effectively and efficiently deliver improved customer service solutions to internal and external stakeholders across the Business.
Develop talent and succession plans for the teams and harness a culture of care, courage, and curiosity, adopting Commercial mindsets.
Adapt plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
Work with the larger commercial team including BUs, Treasury, Digital, Finance, Ops Risk and IS&T to drive improvement and optimize the end-to-end processes.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Bachelor Degree in either Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Proven track record of effective commercial administration/operations: 7- 10 years of progressive experience in CTC / sales administration or related field.
Experience in leading a team to become highly performant in its way of working and consequently in delivering business outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to reach out and build collaborative stakeholder relationships across different levels.
Superior knowledge in Trade Finance, Shipping or Supply Chain.
Experience with international trade documentation/Letters of Credit.
Knowledge of contractual concepts and understanding of associated trade-offs.
Strong knowledge of contact to cash.
Experience with SAP / Advanced systems skills.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Proven organisation and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in commodity logistics.
Experience in change management and business transformation.
Ability to think outside of the box and synthesize the big picture.
Commercial mindset.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Knowledge of Power BI or any other data analytics tools/applications.
Project management.
