What the role is:

You leverage data science methods and techniques to study MINDEF/SAF\'s audiences and defence-related issues and derive data-driven insights and recommendations with the objective of enhancing MINDEF/SAF\'s strategic communications.

What you will be working on:

You also translate data into visual insights and solutions to guide MINDEF/SAF\'s strategic communications strategy, policy and planning across public and internal communications, and community engagement. Additionally, you manage data science projects and maintain the data architecture to support policy analysis and data-driven decision-making. Your challenge lies in explaining complex data and technical findings to strategic communications practitioners and decision makers, and understanding MINDEF/SAF\'s organisational considerations and the intricacies of the information environment that MINDEF/SAF operates in.

What we are looking for:

You must have a tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychometrics, Operational Research or any related field, preferably with 5 to 7 years\' relevant work experience in a data science, analytics or communications role. You should have the necessary technical knowledge, and be familiar with analysis methods, data management, programming languages (e.g. SQL, and Python) and visualisation software (e.g. Qlik, Tableau and Power BI). Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills is required. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience. (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
