The Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) organization informs strategy development through relevant data analytics, integration and insights. We provide consumer-centric solutions through deep understanding of all relevant audiences.

You will be a part of the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Consumer Insight Team within CIMA. This team conducts research to help DCL maximize the guest experience to build long-term consumer loyalty and sustainable profitability. You will be responsible for uncovering new insight by developing, executing, synthesizing, and leveraging research, analytics, and other sources of insight to shape the business. You will also identify demand drivers and revenue opportunities and explore consumer needs to inform long-term strategies.

The optimal candidate will have proven success using research and business performance analytics to positively influence decisions. You will report to a DCL executive and be located in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise leadership \xe2\x80\x93 Lead consumer insight projects with personal accountability. Manage and execute all phases of the research process including needs identification, methodology design, survey design, cross-functional management, data mining, and presentation of results, often with the assistance of a third-party agency.
  • Exhibit curiosity \xe2\x80\x93 gather a holistic understanding of the strategic context to inform impactful solutions. Seek out and recommend innovative methodologies and new external resources.
  • Analyze data and draw conclusions \xe2\x80\x93Translate consumer insight into actionable, business-driving strategies through critical interpretation of data, collaboration, active partnership, and strategic thinking.
  • Tell Stories \xe2\x80\x93 Oversee analysis, synthesize findings, and communicate a compelling, easily understandable, actionable presentation at all levels with limited supervision.
  • Team up with partners - Develop and further relationships with internal partners to build influence, manage external vendors, and lead specific work-streams and cross-functional deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a related field (e.g. marketing/sales, market research, customer experience, business planning)
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills utilizing multiple methodologies
  • Experience in quantitative research design, analysis and interpretation
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating consumer data and developing actionable insight
  • Understanding of business, consumer and marketplace dynamics
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, SPSS, R or similar market research analytical application (can develop and manipulate complex spreadsheets and data sets)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple data sources into clear, actionable insight
  • Strong communication and storytelling of insight to influence others and advocate for consumers, customers, and Guests
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, as well as continuous improvement process skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, SPSS or Tableau
  • Experience in the travel and hospitality field, preferably the cruise industry
  • Worked in the APAC region in the past
  • Deep understanding of the APAC region
Required Education
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent \xe2\x80\x93 relevant areas include, but are not limited to Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Business or Engineering. Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferred.
