The department oversees the physical development and maintenance of all university buildings and grounds in support of the academic, research and administrative functions of the University. As a Manager (Contracts), you will be responsible for providing contracts management support and ensuring the smooth operations of the department.Responsibilities:Oversee, support and provide guidance to the project team on all cost and contracts matters including procurement strategy, tendering procedures, bid evaluation, Delegation of Authority (DOA) setup, assessment of liquidated damages and extension of time claims, performance bond, warranties, insurance and all other contract administration work.Engage with the Legal department on contractual issues to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Liaise with NSS Procurement and NSS Finance on tender calling procedure(s), payment and Ariba issues.Manage asset listing.Review and verify consultants\xe2\x80\x99 fee claims.Monitor and provide regular reports on project budget and expenditure and cashflow projections.Support the project team in management of contractual issues, progress payments, variation works and settlement of final account.Facilitate the preparation of Yearly Budget Request and FY closing Accruals.Compile and analyse data and statistics related to building information and projects to (for) Requesting Agencies and DepartmentsConduct and support cost studies and budget requests, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate forecasting.Administer procurement-related admin duties, including Purchase Request, Goods Receipt, Ariba contract setup, asset management in transfer, write-off, and sale of old equipment.Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the department head.Requirements:Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.At least 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in the building or facilities management industry.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Sound cost estimation skills.Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadline.Self-motivated and positive working attitude.Capable of working independently and as part of a team.NTU offers a supportive and dynamic work environment that provides employees with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
