Job Purpose
As a Manager of Data Governance in SMRT, you will be tasked to design and implement corporate data governance strategy and framework. You play a key role in implementing governance activities to ensure the company has a good data foundation on which trusted information that can be used for critical business processes, decision making and accounting to meet overall business needs.
Responsibilities

• Define and design organisation's data management and governance strategy.
• Implementation of data governance policies and develop standard operating procedures.
• Initiate data governance activities to ensure alignment and effective implementation across Business Groups.
• Review data processing architecture and data sharing practice.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of data governance and advocate data management practices.
• Serve as a liaison and provide consultation to assist business units in identifying and setup of critical data elements.
• Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree and above in Analytics, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance.
• Prior experience in implementing data governance framework.
• Good knowledge of the overall governance framework, including operating model, data governance, data management, data security, data quality and data architecture.
• Good understanding of metadata management, reference data management, master data management, and data quality.

Skills

• Project management
• Understanding in data governance tools
• Knowledge in data governance principles
• Proficient with data engineering methods and technologies, Azure Cloud proficiency will be an advantage
• Experience in working in a diverse organisation and across business processes
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
