Manager, Data Management, CSI, AP

Customer Solutions and Innovation (CSI) is a DHL\'s cross divisional commercial and innovation unit. We are responsible for managing DHL\'s largest and most strategically important customers. In a very competitive market, CSI work with our Business Units colleagues and provide value beyond what the customers expect, building stronger ties with Customer key decision makers. We focus on understanding our customer business and industry challenges and applying proven DHL solutions.

This role leads 2 main functions of Data Management team; Data Management & Account Mapping

  • To lead and direct the planning, development and delivery of technically complex migrations
  • To develop and leverage a deep understanding of the customers under the CSI portfolio
  • To manage the cross-BU account hierarchy used for both financial and operational reporting
Principal Accountabilities

Be the bridge between business and technical requirements: work closely with business stakeholders to understand demand landscape, prioritise requests on the basis of feasibility and business value and develop suitable solutions * Lead and direct the planning, development and delivery of technically complex migrations and Finance Digitalization projects within the constraints of resources and time
  • Develop and leverage a deep understanding of the customers under the CSI portfolio
  • Build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders\\
  • Manage the cross-BU account hierarchy used for both financial and operational reporting
  • Maintain, govern and own the customer search name reference database and other master data hierarchies within CSI tools and systems
  • Contribute expertise in cross-team projects
  • To drive efficiencies in data load / ETL process
  • To drive efficiencies in account validation and mapping, query handling and customer onboarding and exceptions processes
  • Constantly review and evaluate the existing systems and processes for areas of improvement
  • Foster an environment of technology excellence, continuous improvement and innovation
  • Build and maintain a strong, resilient and cohesive team
  • Provide leadership, support, coaching and direction to team members
  • Advise team on best practices and/or consistent approaches across ongoing projects/enhancements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • IT university degree or equivalent level of education/experience in the logistics/transportation or IT industry
  • Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with multiple market-leading database and reporting technologies
  • Minimum 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in people management and demonstrated great leadership attributes
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with logistic systems, business analysis and trending experience in the logistics industry
  • Proven experience with development and deployment of market-leading database/reporting/analysis solutions, e.g. Teradata, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure data platform, Azure Connect service, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate
  • Knowledge and experience using tools such as Python, RPA, Machine Learning, API (Kubeflow), Big Data, AI, etc
  • Ability to communicate across all levels
  • Creative, innovative, problem-solving thinking
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of DHL\xe2\x80\x99s global, cross-BU services & product portfolio
  • Strong understanding of the DHL organization, products, customers and markets (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the DHL systems; C360, Cargowise, FORWIN, etc. (preferred)
  • Proven project planning and management skills
  • Staying on top of new trends, developments and best practices
  • Strong team orientation, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible
