What the role is
MANAGER/ DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, ASSET SERVICES
What you will be working on
You will be part of the team in charge of fixed asset accounting and management. You will keep accurate asset registers for timely reporting as well as put in place internal controls for proper accountability of fixed asset. You will be involved in maintaining accurate fixed asset records, preparing financial reports/chart, performing analysis, and delivering presentation slides on asset data to support stakeholders in asset-related matters. You will be required to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain asset records up to date in relevant systems, from the point of asset capitalisation to retirement, perform month-end closing activities, update, and review asset schedules. Beyond the operational work, you will work on unique rail and road asset categories, embark on continuous process improvements, apply relevant tools to implement process automation, and work on enhancing data structure to support management’s decision making.
What we are looking for
Requirements: • Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or Business-related discipline • At least 3 years of working experience in finance related functions • Knowledge in applying prevailing law and regulations, policies, and appropriate accounting principles such as Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards (SB-FRS) governing fixed asset accounting • Knowledge of SAP and/or Government NFS Financial System will be advantageous • Analytical skill to apply the relevant knowledge, curious attitude to create value-added deliverables • Self-motivated, conscientious, meticulous, and well-organised to deliver the required outcomes within deadline • Able to work independently, perform under pressure and tight timeline • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and team player • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools e.g., Excel, PowerPoint etc
