As an integral member of our Digital Experience team, you will work on uncovering critical user insights that contribute to shape the direction of the UX/UI design, and thereby the overall experience of our users. You will be required to plan and execute (through self and/or the team) primary research at various stages of the design lifecycle by employing appropriate methodologies that deliver insight-driven recommendations back to designers, digital product owners, channel and business owners. Being part of a dynamic and expanding function, you will also be taking on a deputy lead role for the Digital Experience research unit - with full ownership of design research projects while supporting on digital channel experience initiatives. You will also be mentoring and leading a young and energetic team in design research discipline from planning, executing to reporting. Get to know the Role: Run and lead design research projects multiple projects concurrently Partner with/through design leaders to build a culture of user-driven product design and development Collaborate with external teams when there is leverage and synergy (eg. with Singtel BAMR, Qualtrics, Kantar) Understand user behaviour through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, usability lab studies, online experiments (A/B testing) and other appropriate methodologies Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and presentations Drive findings to actions by ideating/facilitating co-creation process of (new) concepts Contribute to annual planning process and strategic insights Mindset and leadership behaviour: High in collaboration but does not back down from constructive challenges to cross-functions and stakeholders when it comes to user-centricity and customer experience Not a 'service suite' towards the design process but empowered contributor towards the build and customer propositions Keen and curious to think broader, dig deeper whenever presented with problem statements and mining opportunities Able to distil and prioritize work according to impact Strong organizational and project management skills The Must Have: Min. 5 years of work experience, preferably in an applied research setting and/or digital and design Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills and presentation skills Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices. Experience planning, executing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research Experience with in-house research practices Experience in writing project briefs and scopes of work, estimating work effort, and managing resources The Good-to-Have: Degree in psychology, sociology, human factors engineering, industrial engineering, cognitive science, related field, or equivalent practical experience Experience with usability testing tools such as Maze, Tobii. Experience with analysis and data processing tools such as Excel, Survey Gizmo, etc Proficiency with project management and asset management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Basecamp or Trello, etc) Able to work with lean and agile workflows and implementing process improvements Vendor administration experience including budget and scope negotiation, facilitating the contracts and procurement, overseeing the delivery Experience managing research or design/digital teams
