What the role is:The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) was reconstituted from the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) on 1 August 2022. GRA is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is responsible for regulating the gambling landscape in Singapore. We protect the people by keeping gambling honest and free of criminal influence, and minimising the harm from gambling. We strive to be a trusted and agile gambling regulator for a safe Singapore.What you will be working on:The Manager (Gaming Technology Operations) is responsible for conceptualising and developing GRA's gaming technology regulation regime. The jobholder will: Develop and upkeep technical standards for gaming equipment and casino management systems Research and analyse innovations and trends in gaming technology Evaluate proposals for gaming equipment and systems Conduct forensic data and evidence gathering, and investigate errant gaming devices Conduct onsite technical compliance inspections, instruct the rectification of noncompliances Conduct walkthrough of casino IT systems There will be posting opportunities for the jobholder to experience other aspects of casino regulatory work, as part of his/her development as a regulator.What we are looking for:Must have: Experience in application development (preferably both front end and back end) Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Electronics Engineering Knowledge in Structured and Object Oriented Programming (preferably in C, C++, Java and Python) Knowledge in SQL and Database architecture An analytical mind and research skills Ability to work independently and as a team player, and be agile in a highly dynamic environment Good communication and interpersonal skills Sense of urgency and a drive to excel Good to have: Knowledge in System Architecture (Windows, UNIX, Linux) and Network Architecture (Firewalls, Routers and Switches) All applicants who are shortlisted for the next round of assessment will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About Gambling Regulatory Authority:The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) was reconstituted from the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) on 1 August 2022.
