What the role is:The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) was reconstituted from the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) on 1 August 2022. GRA is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is responsible for regulating the gambling landscape in Singapore. We protect the people by keeping gambling honest and free of criminal influence, and minimising the harm from gambling. We strive to be a trusted and agile gambling regulator for a safe Singapore.What you will be working on:The Manager (Gaming Technology Operations) is responsible for conceptualising and developing GRA\'s gaming technology regulation regime. The jobholder will: \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and upkeep technical standards for gaming equipment and casino management systems \xe2\x80\xa2 Research and analyse innovations and trends in gaming technology \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate proposals for gaming equipment and systems \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct forensic data and evidence gathering, and investigate errant gaming devices \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct onsite technical compliance inspections, instruct the rectification of noncompliances \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct walkthrough of casino IT systems There will be posting opportunities for the jobholder to experience other aspects of casino regulatory work, as part of his/her development as a regulator.What we are looking for:Must have: \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in application development (preferably both front end and back end) \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Electronics Engineering \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in Structured and Object Oriented Programming (preferably in C, C++, Java and Python) \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in SQL and Database architecture \xe2\x80\xa2 An analytical mind and research skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work independently and as a team player, and be agile in a highly dynamic environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Sense of urgency and a drive to excel Good to have: \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in System Architecture (Windows, UNIX, Linux) and Network Architecture (Firewalls, Routers and Switches) All applicants who are shortlisted for the next round of assessment will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About Gambling Regulatory Authority:The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) was reconstituted from the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) on 1 August 2022.
