Job Description


What the role is:The officer will be responsible for enhancing the governance processes and strategic alignment within the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) of the Civil Service College (CSC). This role involves progress-tracking of key projects, optimising resource utilisation, and facilitating effective communication and planning to support organisational objectives. The officer should also be comfortable to perform administrative and secretariat duties, where required.What you will be working on:1. Group Portfolio Governance a) Track Progress of Key Projects: \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide oversight for essential projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and deadlines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish mechanisms for updates and reporting on key projects, promoting transparency and accountability across the organisation. b) Monitor Group-level KPIs: \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish and track relevant KPIs to assess performance against strategic goals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives. c) Monitor Resource Utilisation: \xe2\x80\xa2 Closely monitor the allocation of people and financial resources to optimise usage and avoid overallocation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare regular reports on resource utilisation to inform decision-making. 2. Strategic Planning a) Drive Group Workplanning: \xe2\x80\xa2 Facilitate the development of work plans that align with broader corporate objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure coherence and strategic alignment in planning efforts. b) Strategy Development: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in developing a strategic map that aligns ETG initiatives with the overarching goals of CSC. 3. Budget Planning a) Drive Group Budget planning cycle: \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with different stakeholders to consolidate expected Group expenditure \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor Group financial forecastWhat we are looking for:

  • Relevant experience in strategic planning \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable to perform administrative and secretariat duties, where required \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong organisational, analytical, project management and communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and innovative. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to meaningfully engage stakeholders at all levels. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work and thrive in a fast-changing work environment (e.g. work on different projects at the same time), and manage ambiguity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate integrity and drive for excellence in work.

We are the central learning institution for the Singapore Public Service and we partner government ministries and agencies to develop people for a first-class public service.
