Job Description

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Group Finance, you will be a key member of the Group Finance team responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting and supports the administration of the Group\'s financial policy. As a key subject matter expert, you will also advise on accounting matters and financial impact of changes in accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial (legal and segment) consolidation of SMRT group entities
• Ensure timely submission and accuracy of (monthly, quarterly, annual) group financials for management, statutory and shareholder reporting, in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) (\xe2\x80\x9cSFRS(I)\xe2\x80\x9d)
• Perform calculation of corporate cost allocation across the group entities
• Update, formulate and implement group accounting and financial policies and procedures and advise on the interpretation of the Group Financial Policy Manual.
• Plan the Group\'s monthly and year-end financial close and reporting process
• Collaborate with external and internal auditors on the annual statutory financial audit
• Evaluate the impact of new accounting standards and support the implementation across the group
• Support the preparation of accounting papers and presentations to the Audit & Risk Committee
• Support projects to improve financial systems and processes
• Support the integration of new business entities into the Group\'s financial reporting process

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA with CA/CPA accreditation
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in group consolidation and financial reporting

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Strong knowledge of SFRS(I)/IFRS
• Working knowledge of SAP and financial consolidation systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Generic skills include:

• Ability to work collaboratively across different departments/functions with strong communication skills
