Title: Manager, HR Business Partner - Singapore

Report to: Head of HR, Southeast Asia & Oceania

Location: Singapore

Primary Purpose:

The ideal candidate will be a trusted and credible people partner to the Singapore Retail Management team and corporate functional teams to participate in the people strategy for growing, retaining, and engaging the Singapore employees. He/she will be enhancing the employee lifecycle experience in a fast-growing environment, while optimizing and scaling day-to-day people processes and procedures.

  • Stores: 16 stores (incl. 9 Coach, 7 Kate Spade)

Be an Employee Champion
  • Gather ground sensing on people-related needs to deliver value-added services to the business and employees through collaborative partnerships.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular store visits to get updates of current HR concerns and opportunities.
  • Development and implementation of training framework, evaluation systems to measure the effectiveness of training and staff development programs.
  • Assist in all training and development activities and assess effectiveness of training programs.
  • Source and evaluate possible partners in the development and delivery of the organization\'s leadership and talent development programs.
Be a Change Agent
  • Participate in the creation and drive the execution of HR action plans each year, with high standards for timely and high-quality deliverables, and for impact on the business.
  • Develop solid relationships with key HR stakeholders, and actively cooperate with HR centers of excellence in Asia to develop and implement a compelling HR strategy for multi-brands under Tapestry.
  • Play a client/business facing role in building strong employee connections that show up in various ways: understanding sentiment of various teams, ability to influence and prioritize changes to HR process/policies basis feedback from business etc.
Be able to simplify and optimize HR Processes
  • Work hand in hand with Tapestry People Services and HR Ops to drive a positive employee experience from the HR shared service center.
  • Manage and execute HR programs effectively and be involved in the continuous process review and improvement.
  • Own the yearly and quarterly compensation planning process, partnering with Tapestry Finance Team to ensure the submitted information are 100% accurate.
  • Maintain the APAC HR database and be a first point of contact for employee\'s inquiries regarding recruitment, benefits, perks, performance reviews, etc., and answering those inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct exit process (interview, pay-out closure, resignation/termination checklist).
  • Manage all forms of employee communication (e.g., transmittal) related to HR updates.
  • Manage Employee Referral Program where pay-outs to referral are regularized.
Talent Management and Yearly Process
  • Support the Annual Performance Management process with senior leadership, while providing training and counseling; lead the formulation and execution of development plans + actions for key talents and key position holders.
  • Support the key BU leaders to execute salary increase process on time and on budget; build compelling business cases to outline and quantify requests for additional funding as required.
  • Own the yearly and quarterly compensation planning process, partnering with Tapestry Finance Team to ensure the submitted information are 100% accurate.
  • Co-lead the Talent Management process, at Corporate and Retail level, to identify and actively build plans to retain key talents via 9-box approach, identify Hipo-talent; build long term succession plans for key positions.
Organizational Development
  • Partner with Retail Management to ensure the right level of staffing is achieved in stores and maximize labor KPIs, part-time use and make sure payroll % is achieved.
  • Partner with Tapestry Asia People Development Team and Retail Training Team to plan and implement training initiatives focused on the growth of team members.
  • Partner with Total Rewards Asia to build a compelling economic proposition for all employee levels to ensure high level of market competitiveness and attract / retain key talents.
  • Partner with the BU leaders and HR leaders to critically review the organizational asset of the BUs, and propose changes to meet the ever-changing business needs and achieve the BU vision.
The accomplished individual will possess...
  • Bachelor\'s degree (ideally in Human Resources, Business Management or Psychology)
  • At least 5+ years\' experience in HR field, with previous significant experience in Retail/Service industry is highly preferred
  • Local market experience is preferred
  • Strong passion for retail luxury sector and the fashion industry
