What the role is:You will play a supporting role in championing the manpower, skills and enterprises\' needs in the Retail sectors you may be assigned to handle. You will also be managing WSG manpower programmes and initiatives to ensure a sustainable pipeline of workers for your sector(s).What you will be working on:Strategic Manpower PlanningIdentify and analyse key industry trends, manpower challenges and skills needs through basic data analyticsEngage strategic accounts and engage companies to diagnose gaps and identify opportunitiesRecommend the design of appropriate strategic human capital solutions based on industry or enterprises\' business and manpower needsSupporting the Industry Transformation Map (ITM) particularly the Jobs and Skills pillar as well as Jobs Transformation Map (JTM)Stakeholder Engagement and ManagementEstablish and maintain effective relationships with strategic partners and stakeholdersCollaborate with industry stakeholders including government agencies, associations, tripartite partners, programme partners to develop and implement relevant manpower interventions to address industry manpower issuesEngage with employers to promote adoption of WSG programmes and progressive human resource practices to address their manpower needs and develop deep understanding of employers\' hiring demandsCoordinate with employers on the hiring outcome and monitor closely on the sector hiring demandProgramme ManagementPlan and review budget requirements and ensure compliance to policies and processesOrganise or support outreach and marketing events such as career events and industry engagementsTrack programmes\' progress and analyse industry related information to evaluate and make recommendations for management decision makingWhat we are looking for:RequirementsRelevant work experience in industry engagement, account/ project management and/or consultancy rolesStrong problem-solving skills and be able to address challenges arising from partner managementHighly resourceful and digitally savvyGood writing and communication skillsExperience in policy formulation and execution within the Public Service is a bonusSalary will commensurate with experienceAll applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About Workforce Singapore:Workforce Singapore (WSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
