What the role is:You will manage a lush and vibrant garden to serve the recreational and lifestyle pursuits of our community. You will contribute towards the greening, maintenance, sustainability, education, programmes and conservation of our green landscape through careful and dedicated management of the garden and its facilities. The Gardens is also a sustainability and living lab for innovation and technology in urban greenery as we transform into a City in Nature.What you will be working on:You will be responsible for the horticulture and arboriculture management of Jurong Lake Gardens:a) Horticulture maintenance of trees, shrubs and lawns and rejuvenation of landscapes in Jurong Lake Gardensb) Horticulture contract management, including lead and conduct plant introduction, performance assessment of contractors and propagationc) Conceptualisation and implementation of horticulture outreach programmes and volunteer engagementd) Assist in park operations and eventsYou will also be involved in a diverse range of activities, including educational and volunteering programming and events, park surveys, citizen science projects.What we are looking for:

• Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Landscape Design, or related discipline
• Enjoy working outdoors, doing field work and interacting with people
• Keen interest in nature, plants, greenery and environmental horticulture
• Experience in growing and working with plants (indoor and/or outdoor environments)
• Able to multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including enforcement when required
• Self-motivator and effective team leader
• Possess good interpersonal and writing skills to connect with various stakeholders
• Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays when required
