Caterpillar\'s Product Support Logistics Division (PSLD) currently has an opportunity for a Manager, Logistics Operations in Singapore. The position is responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of all shifts of operations specific to area of responsibilities.

The primary responsibilities for this position will be to (but not limited to):

Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff; managing, motivating, and developing management team.

Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.

Monitoring overall operations performance and implementing production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.

Developing, implementing and continuously improving all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.

Required Skill and Experience:

Degree or equivalent experience desired

Distribution Center Management: Knowledge of distribution processes, issues and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to stores and/or customers

Import/Export - MFG: Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations

Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice

Transportation - MFG: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers

Develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges

Implement business process improvement best practices

Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

Understand the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision

Apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations

Plan and organize time and resources to get things completed in a systematic and highly methodical way

Effective communications with stakeholders
