Lead and manage standards development in the areas of Manufacturing Standards for the Singapore Standardization Programme
Perform the role as Standards Committee Secretary to Manufacturing Standards Committee (MSC) and their supporting Technical Committees and Working Groups
Conduct technical research to establish new standards and review existing ones
Plan, monitor, and manage the national Manufacturing standardisation projects. This involves planning and coordinating with other government agencies, professional bodies and industry associations
Manage and ensure the timely delivery of all standards development projects
Collaborate effectively with industry partners to identify critical and emerging standards to support national plans and enhance enterprise competitiveness, improve productivity, and facilitate trade and market access
Handle all inquiries received promptly regarding the standards under your area of responsibility
Responsible for conducting verification studies to assess user identification and adoption of the standards
Success will be measured by the development and launch of standards as well as the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) specified in SMF SDO workplan
Undertake ad-hoc projects as directed by Head, SMF-SDO
Requirements
Degree holder or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of work experience
Preferably with knowledge of statutory requirements
Results-oriented and able to execute projects in a team and independently
Possess excellent networking, communication, and industry engagement skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools
Experience in organising virtual, hybrid, and physical events and meetings
Prior experience in supervisory and project management
* Secretariat experience and background in manufacturing preferred
