Location: Singapore preferred; other locations in Asia considered. Relocation arrangements available.

PacBio technologies are changing the game in genomics by delivering greater insights and greater accuracy than previous technologies on the market. Our highly accurate long read sequencing platform is rapidly gaining traction as the new gold standard for DNA and RNA analysis. Whilst our short-read sequencing platform is delivering unprecedented accuracy which will open up new needle-in-a-haystack applications such as liquid biopsy and monitoring in oncology. We are expanding our market development team with deep connections across the genomics community in APAC to join a small but growing global team. In the market development role, you would contribute to building the long-term growth strategies for the North Asia region in collaboration with senior management. In addition, you would be directly responsible for establishing and managing high profile, strategic collaborations and partnerships across the region. You will be seen as a scientific expert and strategic partner to the local commercial team, delivering a vision of what is possible and gaining access to decision makers in the North Asia genomics community.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Market Development Manager to spearhead our expansion in Asia focusing on North Asia. A successful candidate will have a knowledge of and passion for genomics and the potential of PacBio\'s technologies to drive new discoveries and address current pain points, especially with respect to unaddressed needs in clinical and applied markets. This person will know the science, literature, and laboratory workflows to be able to sit down with the top KOLs and labs in the region to craft mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations. Initial focus will be on human genetics applications. This role will be instrumental in building and executing market development strategies tailored to the genomics community in Asia focusing on North Asia. The successful candidate will be based in Singapore, with the flexibility of being located in other parts of Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive market development plan for Asia focusing on North Asia, aligning with PacBio\'s global strategies and objectives.
• Establish and manage strategic collaborations and partnerships in Asia focusing on North Asia to accelerate market adoption of PacBio\'s technologies.
• Serve as the scientific expert and strategic partner to the local commercial teams, driving growth strategies and influencing key decision-makers in the genomics field.
• Maintain and update the market model for Asia focusing on North Asia, forecasting revenue impact and customer growth.
• Identify and assess partnership opportunities, removing barriers and facilitating the adoption of PacBio technology by strategic programs in the region.
• Conduct competitive and market analysis, providing insight and direction for the region\'s growth.
• Reinforce and support the local commercial teams, ensuring effective communication and strategy implementation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in the life sciences sector.
• Deep knowledge of genomics technologies and market dynamics in Asia focusing on North Asia.
• Proven track record in building strategic relationships and influencing in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to engage with key stakeholders and attend relevant events.

Salary Range: S$125,400.00 - S$188,000.00
