Job Description

The Manager of the new Market Operations team function in Manila is responsible for supporting the Market Operations Teams, covering Equity Operations, Client Support & Market Management and will have several direct reports. The new Manager position for Market Operations will begin by covering the initial teams working hours of 00:00 - 08:00 UK time 07:00 - 16:00 PST and will report directly to a line Manager in London.
Team Description
The Market Operations teams in Manila will be responsible for real time support of market activities, including market recovery on behalf of actions for participants Reference data management for all instruments and first Line Client Support.
Department Description
The Market Operations function provides the centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services and reference data spanning the LSE and Turquoise venues (all part of the London Stock Exchange Group). The department acts as the primary contact for customers - requiring immediate or planned actions. The area manages close operational relationships internally and externally. It comprises of several functions - Live Service Market Operations, Admissions, Market Management, Regulatory Operations, UAT, Technical Account Management, Market Access, FXall and Data & Analytics. Teams are based in EMEA, North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
Market Operations provides a range of customer and operational services across the London Stock Exchange Group.The core services provided by the department are Market Operations, Client Services, Business Management, Technology Relationship Management, FXall and Trading Specialist areas/products.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the Market Operations management team in Manila.
Ensure complete, transparent and frequent communication with management in London.
Provide first line, line manager support to the Market Operations teams in Manila - including, recruitment, staff issues and support with property and IT.
To act as the decision maker, approving key business actions across all of the disciplines listed when required.
Maintain and develop strong operational and client support teams, ensuring that internal procedures are always followed and maintained, whilst managing and minimising operational risks at all times.
Partner, support and collaborate with various departments and teams across LSEGto support the Turquoise business and collaborate to improve services to ensure that all operational aspects are fully impacted, tested implemented within the teams
Continually work on ongoing improvement in operational efficiencies, and operational tools to enhance the day to day operational activities.
Provide regular updates on KPIs and other key metrics of the off shored location resources and responsibilities.
Have both a strong commercial and customer focus in all aspects of work and the team's outlook, together with delivering to high operational and procedural standards always.
The Manager forms part of the Management Team within Markets Operations. In this regard, the successful applicant will also be involved in the following:
Reporting to Markets Operations management including regular reporting on the outsourcing agreement for Turquoise's Market Operations functions.
Being part of the Capital Markets Operations' rotas to cover critical market hours and project releases.
Lead the resolution of exceptional technical & production issues/incidents.
Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
Identify process improvement opportunities.
Manage and build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and support the Senior Analysts that form the offshore team in Manila.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills
Relevant industry experience and a minimum of 5 years management experience within Financial Services
Experience of people management and developing high performing teams
Must be a confident team player with good interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude
Worked in professional and client-focused environments where detailed processes must be followed.
Proven customer service skills.
Must be able to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Internal systems - ability to learn quickly
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good communication/relationship building skill
