About the Department

Banking Operations - Loan Operations is responsible for activities related to the operational groups that support the revenue generating business lines of the firm. Responsibilities may include general account operations, loan closing, loan documentation & processing, and other related activities. The Mortgage Servicing Operations area is responsible for operations and related activities supporting the Mortgage Servicing business and/or products. The Loan Operations focus specializes in activities ranging across two or more loan operations focuses, including Documentation, Processing and Servicing.

The Corporate and Commercial Banking Operations function is responsible for the operational support to the Corporate and Commercial Banking business areas, including transaction banking.

Job Responsibilities

The successful incumbent will be working closely with the customers, Relationship Managers and backroom operations and expected to handle the following key responsibilities:

• Quote and confirm rates for loan drawdown and rollovers with customers
• Handle repayment of loans
• Provide timely and effective support to Relationship Managers
• Follow up with customers on outstanding documentation pertaining to loan drawdown/rates confirmation
• Instruct and liaise with Backroom Operations for loan drawdown / loan rollover / loan repayment
• Update and maintain Team Registers and ensure data is kept up-to-date and accurate

Job Requirements

• A recognized tertiary education with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in the banking and finance industry and good knowledge of lending to small and medium-sized enterprises
• Meticulous, organized person and able to work independently
• Possess good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work under tight deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office applications especially Microsoft Excel
