Request for updates from public sector agencies (approximately 100 agencies across the public sector in all) and Museum Roundtable (MR) members on their holdings of artworks and artefacts and respond to their queries
Facilitate the assessment for significance of these holdings by NHB museums and relevant parties
Enter records of these artworks and artefacts in the NR database
Facilitate transfer of artworks and artefacts to NHB/National Collection (if any)
Prepare reports for the National Collection Advisory Panel (NCAP), NHB Senior Management and other platforms, on the status of holdings across the public sector
Arrange for the annual basic collections care workshop to provide basic guidance and advice to public sector agencies as well as stakeholders on care and management of collections
Work with Heritage Conservation Centre to plan and co-ordinate the basic collections assessment survey of significant artworks and artefacts held by public sector agencies, etc.
Organization of meetings, including reports to be tabled
Compilation of acquisition-related and other reports
Conduct of general research on National Collection matters, and any other duties assigned
Requirements:
Interest in arts and heritage
Meticulous and careful with details
Able to use Excel and pick up IT skills quickly
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good organisation skills including project management experience.
Work experience in the arts and heritage sector will be an advantage
Candidates with education background in arts/heritage/humanities related
