Job Description

What the role is:

You will be part of a team that takes care of lush and vibrant parks to serve the recreational and lifestyle pursuits of our community.

What you will be working on:

Under our City in Nature vision, you will manage parks and park connectors in the central-north region of Singapore to provide a safe and pleasant experience for park visitors, and to bring park visitors closer to nature.

You will contribute towards the greening, maintenance, and conservation of our green landscape through careful planning and dedicated management of the park and its facilities.

Your work will require keen interest and knowledge in nature and greenery, and will involve engaging the community to encourage ownership of our green heritage through volunteerism and collaboration efforts

You will be involved in implementing City in Nature initiatives through a diverse range of activities, including programming and events, citizen science surveys, and biodiversity habitat enhancement and naturalisation projects.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Botany, Plant Science, Landscape Design, Environmental Science, Life Sciences or related discipline
• Enjoy working outdoors, doing field work and interacting with people
• Keen interest in nature, plants, greenery and environmental horticulture
• Able to work independently and multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including enforcement (e.g. Parks and Trees Regulations, etc) when required
• Possess good interpersonal and writing skills
• Possess digital skills to support landscaping projects
• Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays when required
• Knowledge in use of GIS mapping software will be advantageous.

Successful candidate will be placed on a 9-month employment contract. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
