Job Description


Lying at the heart of Singapore, the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) serves close to one million residents living in Ang Mo Kio, Bishan-Toa Payoh, Jalan Besar and Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs), and Kebun Baru, Marymount, Potong Pasir, Radin Mas, as well as Yio Chu Kang Single Member Constituencies (SMCs).

The CDC envisions a self-reliant, vibrant and inclusive Central Singapore District. It works in close partnership with schools, social service agencies (SSAs), grassroots organisations (GROs), government and corporate organisations to bridge communities through:

Aggregating resources to meet the needs in the community;

Building capabilities and capacities and networks; and

Connecting communities.

Conceptualise, Strategise and Manage Community Programmes

Co-plan and review the concept, strategies, management and execution of community programmes to \xe2\x80\x98Aggregate Needs & Resources, Build Capabilities and Connect Communities\xe2\x80\x99

Effective engagement of stakeholders (e.g. Community Partners, Corporate organisations, Schools and IHLs, Grassroots Organisations, Social Service Agencies, etc), partners and residents to achieve team outcomes

Perform proper budgeting, tracking and allocation of resources to realise optimal utilization of resources to achieve the programme outcomes and KPIs

Managing administrative matters for the programmes

To display resourcefulness in project execution and operation planning with the ability to assess and manage complex situations in real time

Project and programme management to implement large-scale signature programmes/events and national-level initiatives at the District level

To possess a genuine knowledge, passion and interest in developing community-based/social support programmes to make a positive impact for vulnerable groups especially seniors and families

Develop networks of external stakeholders/partners

Work closely with Team Leader and Senior Manager to build strong networks of external stakeholders/partners, especially with Seniors Activity Centres and Active Ageing Centres

Partner key stakeholders to identify community gaps and needs, develop joint collaborations, and meet programme outcomes

Assist in volunteer management and engagement for the programmes

Other Duties:

To work with the Team Leader and Senior Manager to achieve CSCDC wide initiatives and outcomes

Undertake any other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Deputy General Managers

Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties

Participate in cross-team building initiatives and taskforces
