Roles & Responsibilities

Scope of role:

The Account Management Community is at the very heart of the business and critical to its market perception and business health. This community is therefore tasked with creating a recognized market-leading position in implementational / executional management and client servicing.

Reporting Structure:

  • You report to the Associate Director
  • You are expected to manage your team (Senior Planner, Execs, Interns) as well as any
The role encompasses:
  • Management of two SEA markets
  • Directional approach to juniors on media approach, strategy, and negotiations
  • Drive local market excellence in planning and operations
  • Drive market and regional innovations
  • Crisis management
  • Client engagement and management for the assigned markets
  • Planning work stream custodian (either Comms Planning or Planning + investment work streams)
Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Planning
  • Working with the Account Director, planners, and client to create clear and coherent plans that bring the media strategy to life
  • Ensure flawless execution across all planning processes and implementation across all assigned markets
  • Assess, identify and recommend creative media initiatives that deliver greater strategy depth and impact to the account
  • QC planners on comms, budgets, plans, rationales, issues
  • Crisis management and issue preemption especially on the markets where the manager is the lead
  • Manage stakeholders (local client, OMD INTL, local markets, vendors) where market issues are concerned
Management of the implementational process and client relationship management
  • Work closely with all business units (Finance, Performance Digital, Local Market Teams, Media Partners, Creative Agency, etc)
  • Origination of detailed briefs for relevant third party units (e.g. the Buying Unit, Direct etc), working withthe Account Director.
  • Day to day management and ownership of implementation process. Ensure brief is delivered / brought to plan, within appropriate criteria (budget, target \xe2\x80\xa6) by planners
  • Principal client contact, alongside planners, for the whole implementation process of the assigned markets (from presentation of detailed recommendations to negotiation and inventory management issues).
  • Collation and reporting of competitive data (when relevant).
  • Timely delivery and upkeep of all relevant reporting systems and templates (media plans, contact reports, status reports).
  • Post campaign reporting that quantifies the value of the media strategy.
Development and direction of Account Exec/Assistant if applicable
  • Clear delegation and clarity when it comes to all basic tasks so AM is able to step up taking on more responsibility from AD.

  • Ensure that any work that leaves the agency is of the highest standard

Experience required:
  • Tertiary qualified, 2-4 years of industry experience strong media planning & buying experience
  • Good understanding of media fundamentals and strategic planning capabilities
  • Strong client facing communication & presentation skills
