Job Description

What the role is:
You support the Branch Head in spearheading Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives across Operations Support Information Technology (OSIT) systems to facilitate productivity growth across MINDEF/SAF users.
What you will be working on:
- Benchmark AI developments with Whole-of-Government (WoG) agencies to ensure alignment with the National AI Strategy and identifying best practices for implementation - Work closely with various business domain owners to understand business requirements - Conduct trials and proof-of-concept of use cases - Develop plans and allocate resources to scale up AI integration with OSIT networks, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the national strategy Challenge(s) - Keeping pace with the ever-changing digital landscape, particularly in the field of AI and related advancements such as cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) - Staying ahead of emerging trends, assessing their relevance to MINDEF/SAF's needs, and swiftly incorporate these technologies into strategies and initiatives - Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, managing competing priorities and regulatory requirements
What we are looking for:
- Education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and/or related professional qualifications - At least 5 years of experience working in a technical or engineering setting is preferred - Strong communication and leadership skills - Good knowledge of AI and related advancements such as cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
