Role Responsibilities

The role holder is responsible for the overall and strategic planning relating to Portfolio for Data and Digital Utilities Domain, CPBB including the reporting, financials, capacity, change management, and portfolio governance inline of Bank\xe2\x80\x99s standard.
The candidate should function successfully in a fast paced, demanding environment and successfully manage multiple work efforts to completion.

  • Responsible for overall Data and Digital Utilities Domain portfolio governance requirement and lead portfolio Transformation into new ways of working under agility construct.
  • Perform as QPR Lead and act as lead contact point with Global Head of Data and Analytics Transformation (Domain lead), Hive Leads and Tech Leads, QPR Chair and Business Heads to ensure alignment on Business Strategy, focus and prioritization to support the overall business plan and deliveries for Data and Digital Utilities Domain delivery.
  • Support Global Head of Data and Analytics Transformation and collaborate with Hive Leads across Data and Digital Utilities Domains to ensure the overall business strategy, focus and prioritization are aligned across Hives and Squads for the domain.
  • Lead and ensure the Data and Digital Utilities Domain portfolio operate and meet all governance requirement as per Policies and Standards. Through close collaboration with Hive Leads, POs, Tech Hive Leads and Hive Managers, ensure governance controls are effectively implemented, executed, and reported as per requirement.
  • Contact point and collaborate with Group teams to provide on the grounds feedback in shaping Group Policies and Standards.
  • Lead the overall Data and Digital Utilities Domain portfolio transformation into new ways of working. Through close collaboration with Transformation, Enablement team and agile coaches, support and lead the portfolio pivot to agility construct through process design.
  • Work closely and collaborate with other Domain and Product Segments, Region and Country stakeholders to ensure process design is optimal.
  • Contact point on all Governance and Transformation related queries with 2nd and 3rd line of defence and be a business contact point with QPR chair.
  • Support and collaborate in the QPR and MPR preparation, new ways of working pivot and overall agility transformation. Ensure, the prepared materials are aligned to expectations for Global Head of Data and Analytics Transformation and Hive Leads across Data and Digital Utilities Domains.

  • Ensure awareness and understanding of the Business strategy that the overall portfolio for Data and Digital Utilities will be supporting.
Business
  • Awareness and understanding of the existing Strategy alignment to QPR/ MPR process and the associated downstream Hives delivery through OKRs.
Processes
  • Bank Project management processes under nWoW
  • Financial monitoring and reporting
  • New ways of working / agility construct
People and Talent
  • Responsible to train and lead Hives and Squads members to deliver overall team\xe2\x80\x99s objective. Accountable for team members development and career growth.
Risk Management
  • Responsible to work CPBB stakeholders inclusive of various 2nd LODs and Hive Leads to track and ensure portfolio and Hive Risks are reported, managed, and escalated if necessary. Ensure Governance team for Data and Digital Utilities domain is aware of any risk incident and participate in the investigation.
Governance
  • Responsible in following the banking new ways of working governance standards. Work closely with Governance team in Data and Digital Domain to Hives are compliance to internal policies and relevant external regulation (e.g. Responsible AI, Data Privacy, RAI etc)
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Support the Data and Digital Utilities Domain Hives to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients, Effective Financial Markets, The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8 + years in a project management capacity supporting or delivering strategic projects, programs and initiatives in banking industry.
  • Bachelors/master\xe2\x80\x99s degrees.
  • Agile certification and or PMP certification from PMI is a plus.
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Acute eye for detail and strong, tenacious personality required to enforce strict governance and standards.
  • Able to manage time and prioritise workload as needed.
  • Team player and able to work with all levels.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong financial management capabilities: budget tracking, planning, forecast and variance explanations.
  • Experience in project and delivery management tools (ex: JIRA, Confluence, Clarity etc.).
  • Experience in Agile project delivery methodology.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, Presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Project Governance standards, change management, financial management, project lifecycle and related lifecycle stages.
  • Current Knowledge of SCB processes, governance and standard for project/programme management (new Way of Working), risk management, pre/post implementation a plus.
