Position Description

Job Summary

Responsible for Excavator product management in SEA markets in Region Asia and support business development in conjunction with responsible Market Areas and Dealers. Area of responsibility would include supporting the development of market share, analyze develop and execute market driven product strategy, new segments, new product launch, product Market Related Specification (MRS) maintenance, price positioning in the market. Work closely with market area, commercial managers, sales operation function, dealers etc. to achieve efficiency and potential of the product in the market.

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities

  • Support the value selling process by providing product and services solutions related information and knowledge to SEA Market area responsible & Indonesia Market and Customers.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement market-driven strategy to increase our market share and contribution from business
  • Develop and monitor process to improve our market position and bring in discussions about competitors\' activities
  • Develop resources, competencies, processes, and tools to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for delivery of price realization, gross margin, market share
  • Monitor profitability in the SEA markets responsible & Indonesia Market per product and model and recommend MRS change pricing strategy / also work with product launch team to finalise pricing for new product introduction
  • Recommend solutions to improve profitability and market share in SEA markets responsible & Indonesia Market
  • Support the market area effort in improving dealer knowledge (through training) and customer awareness (site study) of the offer.
  • Channel market information into Technology by capturing the Voice of Customer (VOC) and assist in the consolidation of that data within PNRD to come to regional view for an overall product strategy needed.
  • Assure market area team and its dealers have sufficient product competence with relevant material for training.
  • Assure market area team and its dealers had up-to-date information on competitor business strategy including price positioning understanding with sales arguments adopted to regional needs with competency development (training)
  • Coordinate within PNRD to prepare and submit monthly management reports on market share, Gross margins, price positioning etc
  • Manage budget within this product line.
  • Share the developing attachment portfolio to improve the market share
  • Study and share the development in the Special Application Solution (SAS) portfolio and work with SAS team to internalize these solutions
  • Support the Homologation process as and when required by furnishing the necessary product information
  • Work with the Global organization to support the Side By Side (SbS) test of the medium platform excavators
  • Services: Ensure all services are offered to our customers and sub dealers and increase our service revenue and profitability for Haulers and Loaders. work with Productivity services team to make offers for services, for example EaaS, Connected Maps etc

Required Knowledge and Experience

Education/Professional Qualifications required
  • Bachelor\'s in Engineering and / or Business Administration
  • At least 8 - 10 years\' experience in CE equipment or attachment sales business
Additional Important Requirements (e.g. language, mobility)
  • Sound business sense, good understanding of marketing, sales process.
  • Pricing knowledge in capital equipment industry will be added advantage
  • Excellent understanding of customer needs in different CE segments & applications
  • Good understanding of marketing activities
  • Analytic ability with good business development sense
  • Skillful use of MS Office package
  • Very good collaborative mindset with strong English communication will be added advantage
  • Experience with global matrix business environment
  • Experience from dealer or customer interfaces
  • Strong leadership, coaching skills
  • Fluent communication skills in English; written and spoken
This is an individual contributor position and occasion business travel is required. The role is based in Singapore and this will be a local hire position.
