What the role is:We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in the outdoors and with people. You will be part of the team based at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.What you will be working on:There are 2 positions available for application and they are as follows:Position 1 (Surveys for Eco-Link@BKE)You will be responsible for conducting and coordinating field surveys of the Eco-Link@BKE and the adjacent Nature Reserves, as well as analysing the collected field data.Position 2 (GIS mapping and Research Permits)Your duties will involve maintaining and updating the GIS database for Conservation operations and overseeing research permit requests and summarising research findings from external researchers.In addition to the specific job responsibilities for each position mentioned above, you will also be involved in daily operational work such as tree inspection, trail inspection, maintenance, and management of facilities.What we are looking for:Degree in Environmental Management, Life Science, Geography, Horticulture, Zoology, or related disciplineAdvantageous to have basic animal identification and camera trapping skillsExperience with ArcGIS, R, or similar geospatial and data analysis tools are preferredPossess good writing, interpersonal and communication skillsAn organized, creative and resourceful team player who is able to work independentlyEnjoy working in an outdoor environment and has a keen interest in nature conservationOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
