Role: Manager, Public Health \xe2\x80\x93 based in Southeast AsiaJob OverviewThe Public Health Asia Pacific team addresses some of the region\xe2\x80\x99s most challenging health issues. We achieve this through data-driven approaches that leverage our public health expertise, along with IQVIA\xe2\x80\x99s full suite of capabilities.As a Manager for Public Health, you will be responsible for providing public health subject matter expertise for conducting business opportunities assessment, developing concepts and managing project delivery within the Public Health team, and will be in Southeast Asia and serving our regional clients.Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging global health and public policy experience and acumen to develop strategies and concepts for global health donor organizations, governments, academics and private sector clients
  • Assisting with public health strategy development, proposal writing for untapped client segments in global health and providing subject matter expertise on public health topics
  • Providing high quality, timely development and on-time input to client solutions for public health issues
  • Applying both quantitative and qualitative analyses, and conducting primary and secondary research to identify public health issues and develop evidence based solutions and insights as well as supporting technical implementation
  • Applying project management and stakeholder management skills in delivering public health projects
  • Developing broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and public health context through the delivery of consulting engagements, and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities
  • Working independently or as part of a team, with some responsibility for managing and leading teams, including the day-to-day manager for projects and working closely with clients and team members
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with global health, including key issues, stakeholders and current developments in the Southeast Asia region (particularly among the low-and-middle income countries)
  • A strong academic track record with a relevant graduate degree (Masters/ PhD) in public health, life sciences, economics/business, and/or 7 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years relevant experience in the health care industry
  • Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly, think creatively and apply new knowledge in technical fields
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills to work effectively with others in and across a large matrix organization to accomplish team goals
  • Previous experience within healthcare industry (particularly experiences in biotechnology firms, research institutions, non-profit organizations and public sector), qualitative/ quantitative research as well as stakeholder management skills will be advantageous
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including story-boarding for PowerPoint presentations, facilitating meetings and workshops at the executive level, and report writing
  • Strong capability in juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomes
  • Be a self-starter who thrives in a client-focused, international and local team environment
  • Excellent conversational and business English and any of the Southeast Asian languages (written and oral)
  • A willingness and ability to travel (mostly within Southeast Asia)
  • Strong problem solving, analytical & project management skills
  • Good level of adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with a variety of software packages and applications e.g. MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), Tableau, ThinkCell
