Job Description


Job Purpose

The aim of the Manager is to act as key support to Trains SSQ Quality Governance Branch in all aspects of implementing, maintaining and continuous improving Quality Management System (QMS) within SMRT Trains for operation, maintenance, and service excellence.
The post holder will work on projects that support a quality management framework across all Centers of Excellence (COE), Lines, and Divisions and align with the Corporation strategy, in partnership with other SMRT agencies responsible for Safety Management, Risk Management and Competency Management.

Responsibilities

To fulfill the duties and responsibilities listed below. Note that the list is not exhaustive; related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • Support the Branch Manager (BM) in
o Strategic quality planning and deployment initiatives
o Implementing Quality Management System and Quality Governance policies and frameworks across SMRT Trains
o Analyzing and reporting Trains quality performance
o Managing Trains SSQ Management Review platforms.
  • Promote quality awareness and guide SSQO/SQOs to ensure alignment to policies, procedures and standards through partnership with Compliance Branch for compliance assistance programs (CAP), audit and inspection.
  • Develop and strengthen quality assurance governance framework according to best practices.
  • Initiate Kaizen project for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree required in any discipline.
  • At minimum 3 years work experience in quality assurance and quality control.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in ISO Management Systems, preferably with knowledge in Integrated Management System consisting of Quality, Health & Safety and Environment systems.
  • Experience in the railway industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary to support the position.
  • Highly developed team facilitation and leadership skills
  • Strong command of English language (both reading and writing)
  • Ability to influence individuals and teams to achieve desired goals and objectives.
Skills

  • Strong communication skills and a command of English language in writing
  • Familiar with continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen
  • Certified Q&HSE auditor/lead auditor is preferred.
