What the role is:The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) aspires to be a world-class organisation in delivering safety and security for our people. The jobholder assists Deputy Director (Risk Management / Risk Review) to oversee MHQ\'s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, and plan risk management activities. The jobholder liaises with stakeholders and co-ordinates risk management activities across MHA agencies and within MHQ. The jobholder also assists to drive and strengthen risk culture in MHQ. The jobholder maintains and updates risk management framework and prepares risk management reports for reporting to Senior Management at Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC) as well as PS Staff Meeting (PSM). The jobholder is involved in risk management training and imparts knowledge via various training courses and platforms such as orientation and engagement sessions.What you will be working on:Key responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Creates, develops and maintains risk management policies and procedures within MHA. \xe2\x80\xa2 Serves as a Risk Manager for MHQ Divisions and maintains MHQ risk register inside Governance, Risk management, Audit and Compliance Enterprise (GRACE) system. \xe2\x80\xa2 Compiles risk management information such as risk trends, incidents/ near-misses, key risk indicators (KRIs) breaches for regular risk reporting at RMAC Meetings and PSM. \xe2\x80\xa2 Rolls out plans to increase risk awareness within MHQ. \xe2\x80\xa2 Facilitates and conducts risk workshops (which involve risk identification, analysis and treatment processes) and briefings to stakeholders such as Risk Management Liaison Officers (RMLOs) in MHQ and other HTDs/SBs\' risk management personnel. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaises and assists RMLOs on Annual Risk Review exercise and compiles the returns for reporting at RMAC Meetings and PSM. \xe2\x80\xa2 Improves risk management processes and activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Refreshes and updates the RMAG ERM manual. \xe2\x80\xa2 Administers risk culture survey across MHA agencies and tabulates results for reporting to Senior Management. Other responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Serves as the duty secretary and notetaker for RMAC on a rotating basis. \xe2\x80\xa2 Serves as a Desk-head to assigned HTD/SB and familiarises himself/herself with the HTD/SB\'s areas of operations and risks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Acts as a trainer for in-house risk management course. \xe2\x80\xa2 Involves as a team member for assigned systems review and Areas of Commonalities Team. All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
